We have loved spinning “Summertime Mama” on Lightning 100, and how lucky we were to have Becca Mancari perform this tune and others at our Nashville Sunday Night live from 3rd and Lindsley. She blends a mix of American roots music with sounds similar to the boldness of Gillian Welch, and the raw rock and roll energy of Neil Young. Her songs are personal reflections of the world around her that are certainly intimate and thought provoking.
Becca is in the process of recording an album, so this live set previews a good deal of new material. Between songs she explains her writing style, and even some of the meaning behind some darker times. Her honesty through music is admirable, and we are excited to see where she is headed next.
