Futurebirds

Integrating healthy doses of folk and psychedelia, Futurebirds has been delivering vintage country sounds since their first album release in 2010 with Hampton’s Lullaby. With roots in Athens, Georgia, (the birth place of other folk front-runners like Phosphorescent and Family and Friends), Futurebirds has spread its wings and toured the nation, with plans to play Pickathon 2016 in Happy Valley, Oregon.

Futurebirds creates music that transcends generations and genres, providing ample retro electric guitar with lyrical themes of wild riders, rodeos and cowboys. Versatile, loose and easy-on-the-ears, Futurebirds has an old soul with a youthful surface. Their soulful, southern-rock sound glides through every track of their most-recent record Hotel Parties (2015).

Nashville Sunday Night is a special presentation of Nashville’s Independent Radio, Lightning 100. Each Sunday night Lightning 100 broadcasts a concert from 3rd and Lindsley, one of Nashville’s finest live music venues. April 17, 2016, featured Tristen opening for Futurebirds.
