Ron Artis II and his two-piece band The Truth (drums and bass) must have had the airways convinced that there was more than just the three of them on stage at Lightning 100’s Nashville Sunday Night live broadcast from 3rd & Lindsley. Hailing from Hawaii the sound of Ron Artis II strongly preserves Soul music and is formulated with tastes of funk and blues. Ron Artis II and the Truth were first a hidden gem to the island Oahu, Hawaii but are now touring the mainland and catching the attention of many including Mick Fleetwood and Jack Johnson. Ron’s voice is huge, his songwriting is inspiring, and his guitar playing is reminiscent of the great Jimi Hendrix.
Be sure to check out Ron Artis II and the Truth’s full length album, Soul Street, and listen to their full Nashville Sunday Night Set below.
