Described as “wildly earthy,” Shelly Colvin’s earliest collaborations were in Los Angeles, writing and performing with groundbreaking, genre-bending pioneers of the California country-rock movement, Herb Pederson, Chris Hillman and JD Souther. Now in Nashville, Shelly has written and recorded two full-length albums – her latest, Longshot, is set to release in late 2015 – and, most recently, appears in the much-anticipated music documentary, Heartworn Highways Revisited, which pays homage to the original cult-classic film by focusing on the unique characters and talent bubbling up from the quirky and substantial East Nashville music scene.
