Canadian electro-soul octet Busty and the Bass has the perfect vibe for all of us with “Kids.” A standout from their most recent album Eddie, the track just about makes you forget you’ve been trapped in the snow all week. It’s groovy, laid-back, and endlessly cool. “Kids” is Rev. Keith’s DJ Pick of the Week!

The band found their start when they met at Montreal’s McGill University back in 2011. Since then, they’ve kept themselves busy, dropping two albums, two EPs, and too many singles to count. Their sound is simultaneously retro and forward-thinking, recalling the sun-soaked early days of BROCKHAMPTON.

“Kids” especially feels like an immediate portal to the pool—a welcome change from what we’ve been experiencing lately. With a chorus declaring “let the kids come out now,” it’s uplifting, too. In short, it’s the perfect antidote to seasonal depression and snow day blues. Check out the track below! I can almost guarantee you’ll love it.
