Lt. Dan’s DJ Pick of the Week- Chicano Batman, “I Know It!”
As Lt. Dan rings in his 23rd anniversary on our airwaves, he gets us moving with “I Know It” by Chicano Batman. This song is one of the many treats off their recent album, Invisible People. Although you may have fallen in love with them as recent as their Ascend debut last year, this band has been creating quality tunes since 2010!
Due to the circumstances of this year, their tour dates are moving to 2021, and Le Butcherettes will be joining them. As they wait for live music to make a comeback, the band has been participating in charitable works by teaming up with local businesses and charities. LA residents can now order the Chicano Batman at Home State and benefit the Watts Empowerment Center. Check out their post below to see more about it, and what else the band has been up to lately!
Taking a part in Small Business Live, Chicano Batman announces, “we’re excited to be a part of this webcast event helping to raise funds for minority and female run, small businesses impacted by Covid-19.” Some of our other favorites participating in this live stream event include Brandi Carlile, Leon Bridges and Moon Taxi.
Two Nashville businesses were chosen by the bands involved to provide support from these proceeds. Moon Taxi’s proceeds went to Grimey’s and Brittany Howard’s proceeds went towards Fanny’s House of Music.
