Lt Dan reporting for duty with my DJ pick of the week featuring Nashville rock ‘n’ roller Creamer.
After a decade as a central figure in the Dallas-Fort Worth music scene, singer and songwriter Philip Creamer recently decided to move his young family to Nashville where he would start his first solo project. Dovetail, the band he had formed with his younger brother and longtime friends, had dissolved into The Texas Gentlemen, and Creamer was set on finding a clean slate and new inspiration. The result was Creamer, a throwback, ’60s-esque blend of pop and rock.
“Drugs No More” is the latest single off Creamer’s self-titled debut album, available everywhere now. The track features music superstars Pat Sansone (Wilco, Autumn Defense), Robyn Hitchcock, Ted Leo and The Texas Gentlemen. Listen to “Drugs No More” below and let us know what you think!
