Lani Ford on board with my DJ pick of the week from local Americana songstress Elise Davis. “The Burn” appears on her recent album Cactus which moves between lush alt-country and stripped-down folk.
“‘The Burn’ is a song about sexual attraction and how you can’t control when you have it or who you have it for,” explains Davis in a statement. “When deciding how to represent that in a video, women devouring a cake shaped as the male anatomy seemed like the right fit.”
