Lani here with my DJ pick of the week from soulman Leon Bridges. His new album Good Thing is available everywhere now.
Unlike his 2015 debut Coming Home‘s ’60s soul sound, the second, more adventurous album from the Texas soul singer bends toward the present while keeping the warmth of classic R&B in his melodies and songwriting. Having grown up in the ’90s, Bridges has a devotion to the R&B of Usher and Ginuwine. This influence can be easily heard throughout the sophomore record, and especially on the track “If It Feels Good (Then It Must Be).” Give it a listen below and let us know what you think!
