Sacramento folk musician Tré Burt was signed to John Prine’s Oh Boy Records after Oh Boy’s Director of Operations discovered Burt while browsing music online in 2019. Burt had independently released his impeccable debut album Caught It From The Rye the year before.
Prine and co. were so impressed that they agreed to re-release the album, making Burt one of two new artists signed to the label in over a decade (alongside Nashville’s Kelsey Walden.) Listen to “Real You,” the lead single from Caught It From The Rye, below and let us know what you think.
