Congratulations to our contest winner of Grass is Greener on My Neighbors Lawn! Check out the yard renovations from Poplar Springs Greenscaping and All Seasons Gardening & Brewing Supply! Poplar Springs Greenscaping and All Seasons Gardening & Brewing Supply were able to work together to design and install a creative and beautiful plan. The job had to be done on a very strict budget, which forced us to meticulously plan each aspect. We wanted to focus on creating an outdoor entertainment space in a sustainable way.
In the front we came up with a simple design using native plants that thrive in this area to limit water waste, and then we built a driveway. Planters were then placed in several different locations to not only create beauty, but also improve air quality. With the rise in popularity of edible landscapes, we strategically installed two raised organic vegetable and herb garden beds at the end of the driveway so that the homeowner can now grab dinner on their way into the house.
Next to the driveway we built a fire pit and entertaining area. We used old pallets, bricks we already had, and leftover wood to create this space. We then decorated our favorite part of the yard, the old shed, with hanging shelves made of reclaimed wood, solar lights, and a bench made from reclaimed wood. Click more to see all of the photos!
