Team Lightning welcomes the help of a non-paid intern for the upcoming semester. Team Lightning is supported by the core concepts of environmental education, adventure, health/fitness, and community engagement. Team Lightning has one dedicated intern per semester. Throughout the internship a student will learn how to plan and lead outdoor adventures, then promote the events through radio, interactive media, and grass roots marketing.

Open to all majors (communications, marketing, sustainability, and event planning concentrations will gain the most relevant experience). Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students welcome. Recommended 3.0 or higher GPA.

Internship Commitments:

  • Twelve (10) hours per week minimum, unpaid
  • Schedule varies with some nights and weekends
  • Weekly and monthly tasks including hanging banners and distributing information at events, attending event planning and sponsorship meetings, writing/voicing radio spots
  • Opportunity to research, plan, coordinate, promote and co-lead their own event at the end of the semester while applying all lessons learned throughout the internship experience

Please submit your resume with cover letter (outlining your specific interest in the Team Lightning department and how it relates to your major) to interns (at) Lightning100 (dot) com.
