Lightning 100 is proud to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Tennessee along with Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30. Lightning 100 Vice President Tom Hansen nominated Promotions Manager Delaney Fanning for this honor, and the Foundation announced her acceptance on April 11th, 2023. This program brings together a number of active, hardworking, and influential young professionals to aid one cause: finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
Her involvement in this program led Fanning to book Diane Young Indie Night (6/8), Lightning 100’s Sixty Five Roses Showcase (7/16), and a Radiothon (8/1) in order to fundraise and bring awareness.
“As a member of a group of individuals who have been selected based on community involvement and career success, I am committed to raising funds and awareness to help the mission of the CF Foundation. I have a goal of raising $5,000 to make a difference in the lives of the 40,000 children and adults in the U.S. battling CF. In my 4 years at Lightning 100, I’ve never stepped behind the DJ mic. Today I entered the studio to face my fear of speaking live on the air all to benefit CFF!“
– Delaney Fanning
Not only did Fanning accomplish her $5,000 fundraising goal, she earned the highest number of individual donations of anyone in Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30 class, earning her the coveted Influencer of the Year award. In addition, her work garnered over 100,000+ impressions, spreading crucial awareness for the CF community.
Diane Young Indie Night (6/8/23)
Diane Young Indie Night, named a Nashville Scene’s Critics’ Pick, took place at The Blue Room at Third Man Records on June 8th.
“DJ Nordista Freeze and the aptly named cover band NOT VAMPIRE WEEKEND will look to capture the nostalgia by playing Modern Vampires of the City – now 10 years old! – from top to bottom, along with a DJ set of adjacent tunes. I dare you to listen to ‘Step’ and not feel something.”
