After almost 10 years since his last visit, Vance Joy has returned to the Volume.com studio! This afternoon, L.t. Dan interviewed Vance before his show at the Ryman tonight. During his time in the studio, the Australian artist played “Missing Piece” and his latest single “Clarity.”
Along with discussing his favorite Southern meals, Vance introduced us to his upcoming album, In Our Own Sweet Time. The highly anticipated album is being released June 10. Work for the album was primarily done during the isolating months of the pandemic. The 34-year-old singer/songwriter is glad to be out of that quarantine period and back on tour. “I forgot how good it was to play in-front of people and feel that connection… It’s been a good nourisher for the soul.”
