Veterans Day Radiothon to Benefit Veteran Charities

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – November 3, 2015 – ASMBA STAR Foundation continues its commitment to veterans nationwide by partnering with Lightning 100 on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, for “Salute to Vets.” Funds raised during the day-long radiothon will benefit the STAR Foundation, a Nashville based non-profit organization that provides grants and raises money to improve the quality of life for all military personnel.

Lightning 100 is committed to supporting the veterans of Middle Tennessee and this nation. Nashville’s Independent Radio 100.1 FM is proud to have such a strong voice in getting the word out surrounding causes that are important to the community. Between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on November 11, Lightning 100 will dedicate a day of programming in the name of giving back to the military community and honoring those who have served in the U.S. Armed Services. The local station challenges listeners to support veteran charities by making a donation on the ASMBA Star Foundation “Salute to Vets” donation page. As Americans, it’s our duty to support, thank, acknowledge and remember the sacrifices made every day by the brave men and women who serve our country.

Listeners are invited to tune to Lightning 100 (100.1 FM) on 11-11-15, for special giveaways and to dedicate a song to an important “Vet” in their life by visiting the website or calling in to Lightning 100 at: 615-777-5100, on the day of the event. Corporations that are interested in making a significant gift, on or before Veterans Day, will receive special recognition.
