It’s the most colorful time of the year! Pride season is coming up, and you won’t want to miss this year’s festivities. The word on Broadway is that this year’s celebration will feature a full parade, music festival, and plenty of fun activities for LGBT+ individuals and allies to enjoy.
The pride parade is also going to be bigger than ever, with a route that coasts along Broadway St. Also featured at Pride this year, TLC and Neon Trees will headline the festival. With this bash that continues to grow with each year, you’re going to want to amp up your rainbow gear and get clever with your signs. So it’s time to break out the tie-dye, bring your wit, and join your favorite independent radio station to do just that!
This year, you can march along with Team Lightning and spread the love all down Broadway. In anticipation of this big event, Team Lightning is throwing a preparation party for the pride community at Fat Bottom Brewery on June 17th. Here, people of all ages and sexual orientations are welcome to make signs to show off at the parade that following weekend. You don’t have to bring any sign materials, the only material you need to bring is your creative pride puns! If you are registered to march with us, you can also tie-dye your Lightning 100 shirt to wear in the parade!
Participation in the party and the parade is open to all ages!
After you finish making your signs and shirts, you can head downstairs to win some awesome prizes like concert tickets and merch in our weekly event, Beer Bands and Bingo.
