Stephanie’s DJ Pick of the Week
You may know this indie rock band for their worldwide single “Pumped Up Kicks,” which hit the airwaves in 2009. Eleven years later, with three album releases under their belt, Foster The People appears as if they’re gearing up for a new music drop. The musicians came out with a four song EP in September, 2019 called Pick U Up. The psychedelic art for the EP matches the vibes of the songs, along with their May, 2020 release “Lamb’s Wool.”
“Lamb’s Wool” truly embodies every aspect of what we know and love about Foster The People. The song invites an atmosphere of dance-oriented pop music with an alternative twist. Their newest single combined with their newest EP has us thinking (and hoping) that Foster The People will be gifting us with a full album in the coming days.
