Gavin DeGraw is this week’s Frothy Monkey Local Artist of the Week and we’ve been loving his new track “Face the River.” The song, which is the title track off his new album, showcases DeGraw’s stellar vocal range and his ability to switch between piano ballad and upbeat pop anthem.
“Face the River” – which he dedicated to his parents – is DeGraw’s seventh studio album. He launched his recording career with 2003’s “Chariot” and followed it up with his self-titled album in 2008.
“I Don’t Wanna Be” and “Best I Ever Had” belong on all your favorite playlists. Slow it down for a few minutes by adding “Face the River” to them, too.
DeGraw has been a stronghold in the pop genre for nearly two decades. He’s toured all over the world, including stops at Bridgestone Arena and the Ryman Auditorium.
He’ll play one of Nashville’s newest stages – the Skydeck at Assembly Food Hall – for Lightning 100’s Friday Afternoon Live.
