Jeverson "Move"

The next Frothy Monkey Local Artist of the Week is Jeverson! Born in Grenada, Jeverson has made Nashville his own, playing City Winery and The Basement. His next venue? Assembly Food Hall at Fifth & Broadway for Friday Afternoon Live, where he’ll perform one of his latest tracks “Move”.

The song perfectly exemplifies Jeverson’s style and talent – taking inspiration from Daniel Caesar, Bob Marley and Frank Sinatra – while also creating something entirely unparalleled. The song is fun, loud and begs to be danced to.

Try listening to this song and sitting still the entire time. It’s simply not possible.

The track opens his self-titled EP, which he released this year. “Move” hit streaming services as a single in 2021. The track has over 52,000 streams on Spotify. “Move” – along with the entirety of his debut EP – is upbeat, positive and perfect for those beach days when you need a little taste of paradise.

“I don’t wanna go nowhere, I wanna stay having a good time, living in paradise,” he sings in “Somethin’ in the Water”.

Jeverson seems destined to build on the success of “Move”. His sound contains the kind of soulful, optimistic zeal that feels oh so rare, and we can’t wait to see where he takes it next.
