New York-based artist Sarah Kinsley took the 3rd and Lindsley Stage for our Nashville Sunday Night series last night!
Kinsley has created this beautiful orchestral alt-pop amalgamation for herself. Her rise to fame escalated quickly with her EP, “The King,” and it became one of NME’s top debut projects of that year. The title track connected to many on Tiktok, but seeing her perform it live in person was a whole new experience.
Before Sarah Kinsley made her Nashville debut, Hannah Cole opened the night with an acoustic set. Cole is a Songwriting student at Belmont University, but she is already a master on the stage. The blending of harmonies in each song, and the steel guitar’s distinct tones created an intentionally unique sound that left the crowd speechless.
Soon enough, Sarah Kinsley walked onto the stage with her bright red cowboy boots. She, along with her all-female band rocked the crowd with a set list full of Kinsley’s greatest jams. The club was full of joy, and this is definitely how Sarah Kinsley’s music makes you feel.
The best moment of the night was when Kinsley played an unreleased song called, “The Giver.” Kinsley explained that she posted a clip of it online, and was surprised by how many people it resonated with. This song describes the heart-wrenching feeling when you are giving everything in a relationship.
You can listen to that unreleased track, as well as Sarah Kinsley’s whole Nashville Sunday Night set below.
