Will Hoge Performs “John Prine’s Cadillac” Live in the Volume.com Studio

Will Hoge In Studio

Will Hoge stopped by the morning show to chat with Jayson and Mel and perform his new single “John Prine’s Cadillac.” The track is an ode to Nashville and was inspired by a chance encounter with Prine at a stoplight on 8th Avenue. He wrote the song after Prine passed away in 2020 but the memory has been with Hoge for nearly two decades. Prine was giddy, listening to music and tapping his fingers on the steering wheel.

“That doesn’t happen anywhere other than Nashville,” Hoge said.

The track is the lead single off his is forthcoming album Wings on my Shoes which launches on Aug. 26. That weekend, Hoge will hit the stage at 3rd & Lindsley for Lightning 100’s Nashville Sunday Night.
