Steph’s DJ pick of the week is “T&A” by Blondshell
For fans of Blondshell, the time for celebration has begun. With both an album and headline tour announcement, Blondeshell has kicked off 2025 with a bang.
New York’s own, Sabrina Mae Teitelbaum, is gearing up for a new album “If You Asked for a Picture” releasing May 2nd. The rock-alternative artist released her debut album “Blondshell” in April of 2023 and has since been paving her own way in the indie scene. She started gaining traction opening for Suki Waterhouse in 2023 and after the release of “Blondshell” began her own headline tour in the same year. Her sound can be described as dark, angsty, and filled with female rage. Blondshell is not afraid to write honestly about emotion and welcomes the dark thoughts that many are afraid to vocalize.
“T&A” is a distorted, echoey track about settling for someone, and using the excuse of feeling like you can’t find anyone better. “Letting him in, why don’t the good ones love me? / Watching him fall, watching him go right in front of me” Blondshell details the questioning that comes with staying in a complicated relationship and gives the listener a peak into what that relationship has cost her.
