Native Chicagoan, Carey Ott is making waves with his new single “Bell”. Ott originally began his music career in the band Torben Floor in the mid-90s. He later went on to solo success in music for TV & Film. His songs have been featured in multiple notable shows including Grey’s anatomy. Ott is also part of the Nashville band concept called Freaks of Nashville.
Freaks of Nashville was created with the goal to promote local voices within the Nashville music scene. The group is ran by Carrey Ott and Frankie Hill. The collective has promoted songs by a variety of local artists. Their most recent single “World Gone Crazy” produced by Ott’s features a mix of saxophone and spoken word!
Ott continues to bring his signature alternative rock sound to his most recent single “Bell”. The song spotlights production and lyrical talents. The track contains a catchy chorus and an equally captivating bridge. Ott describes the images of a bell and hopeful depictions of life with lyrics like “No Sound after the Sound / like a Bell Hung in the Air / There are People Everywhere Who Care”.
