This afternoon, Lt. Dan invited Courtney Jaye into the Volume.com Studio for a quick interview and performance. Joined by Jonathan Trebing on guitar, Jaye performed her songs “Three” and “Take It Up With The Lord” from her fourth and newest album Hymns and Hallucinations. She describes the album released in May of this year as not only a “spiritual album,” but a “concept album” as well. Accompanying Jaye’s new album is a 10-song short film that visually and aurally delves into the story behind the record.
During the interview, Jaye discusses her departure from Nashville, screening her new short film at the Belcourt Theatre, and her respect for Post Malone.
