Ahead of their sold-out show at The Basement East tonight, Flipturn stopped by to show us acoustic versions of some of their new songs. While the full touring band features five musicians with a full plugged-in sound, this session was stripped down to only guitar and vocals, giving a rare, intimate look into these songs. Just as in the full band, Flipturn’s outstanding indie rock riffs and silky-smooth vocals immediately stand out in this recording, and one can see how this band sold out their show at the BEast tonight.
In between songs, the musicians discussed some exciting new developments in their careers and lives. Now with the backing of Dualtone Records here in Nashville, the band has been on a roll, releasing professionally shot music videos and playing sweeping tours across the country.
