Lightning 100 is excited to announce Abbdavv and their song “Ride” for our Local Artist of the Week.
Abbdavv is Casey’s pick for Local Artist of the Week! Abbdavv is a pop rock trio based in Nashville with vocals and guitar by Abby Davis, and bass and drums from Sam Bellavance and Colin Christenson respectively. Abbdavv has an upbeat sound, featuring poppy hooks and danceable bass lines. Lyrically, Abbdavv is confident and self assured, but most importantly it’s fun.
Their new song “Ride” was released just last month in January. “Ride” represents a sonic departure for Abbdavv from more produced, track heavy music to a raw, live sound. In her vocal performance Abby Davis blends punk attitude and power with an R&B vocal style. “Ride” also showcases high energy drums, making the listener feel like they’re in the room watching an Abbdavv show.
