Stephanie: “Brush Me Like A Horse” by JJerome87

“Brush Me Like a Horse” by JJerome87 is Stephanie’s Pick of the Week! This is the first release from JJerome87, also known as Joe Newman from alt-J. The band has been semi-inactive for the last few years, so this solo project from Joe feels refreshing. The song tells a story of a “man slowly turning into a horse,” in Joe’s own words. This song has a Motown and blues vibe, but homes in on the alt-J vibe and charm with Joe’s classic vocals.
