It’s week two of Brews In Bloom, which means it’s time to reconnect with our pals at Yazoo Brewing Company. Like we mentioned before, you can find them at their new taproom in Madison to try out all their varieties from the year-round classics you love to the seasonal experiments that never miss the mark.
This time we’re veering away from the classics into something a little different. Yazoo’s Cherry Deux Rouges is a sour red ale. Brewed with a mix of cherries aged in merlot barrels, it’s tart and sweet. It’s also a 2014 Great American Beer Festival award winner – and with that bold flavor, you may even convince a wine connoisseur to cross over to the
dark hop side.
We’ll be back tomorrow with another great springtime brew, but until then, check out the full video with Yazoo founder Linus Hall below. You can also catch our interviews live on the radio at 6:30am weekdays with a replay at 6:30pm. Cheers!
