Local Natives of Los Angeles, California create music defined by sturdy harmonies, glistening guitar riffs, and a smooth, electric support. For the band the album is truly an experience, and this shows not only in the musical themes but also the tangible artwork of the album. Since gaining traction at SXSW in 2009, Local Natives have written and released two albums and played a countless number of shows and festivals around the world.
Taylor Rice (vocals, guitar), Kelcey Ayer (vocals, keys, percussion, guitar), Ryan Hahn (guitar, keys, mandolin, vocals), Matt Frazier (drums), and Nik Ewing (bass) have returned to Nashville to headline the Ryman on Friday, October 14, 2016, in support of their new release Sunlit Youth. The show will open with a set from Charlotte Day Wilson. Tickets are still available online and come with a free download of Sunlit Youth.  Taylor, Kelcey, and Ryan stopped by the ONErpm studio yesterday for an on-air interview and performance. Listen to the interview and performance to hear stripped-down versions of “Dark Days” and “Fountain of Youth” from Sunlit Youth.
