Although touring with the Lumineers has been keeping them pretty busy, Los Angeles-based band Mt. Joy found the time to stop by the studio to chat with Lt. Dan on Wednesday.

The folk-rockers played their songs “Silver Lining” and “Strangers,” and got to talk about touring with the Lumineers, playing Live on the Green in 2018 and their upcoming Red Rocks Amphitheater show with Rainbow Kitten Surprise.

“It’s been great. Those guys have been really kind to us and we’re learning a lot just watching people do it at what feels like the highest level”

Quinn met his fellow bandmate Sam Cooper in high school in Philadelphia, PA, but later reunited in L.A. to form the band. Their single “Silver Lining” reached No. 1 on Triple A, and released their full length debut record in March 2018. Their latest single “Strangers” is out now.

Check out the full audio interview and performance below, and be sure to watch the band open up for the Lumineers at Bridgestone tonight!
