Casey caught up with sister duo SaRachel this morning on Lightning 100! SaRachel is comprised of Sarah and Rachel Hambridge, and they are Nashville-based singer/songwriters. They are officially dropping a new album on November 16th named Cloudy! The sisters played “Millions of Miles,” one of their favorites off the album, as well as the only cover from record, “Wrecking Ball.”

They have been playing together since they were little, and their Dad got them into music when they were very young. He is a Nashville-based producer and helped the girls with producing their album, even playing drums on the album. There are 6 songs on the album and the sisters cowrote 5 of the songs together. The girls recorded it at Southern Ground Studios and were joined by some very talented musicians: Rob McNelley, Dave Roe, Tommy MacDonald, and Tim Lauer.

They chatted with Casey about the album and their recent trip to Prague to join Buddy Guy for a performance!

The girls have their album release party on Friday, November 16th at The Local! It starts at 7pm- to find more information click here.

Casey is that rarest of creatures…a Native Tennesseean. His love of music can be traced to the day his dad sat him down and played him Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love?” Everything pretty much changed after that. He began his broadcasting career at the age of 14 at an AM station in Northern Middle Tennessee. It was there he learned how to cue vinyl records, splice tape with razor blades, and other skills that no longer serve any purpose. In the late nineties, he was the host of our evening show until management decided that probably wasn’t a good idea anymore. Casey returned to Nashville airwaves in 2016. When he isn’t on the air, he spends his time with his wife and son. He would also appreciate it if you’d get offa his lawn.
