Austin-based musician Shakey Graves has always been known for his one-man-band set up and ability to captivate his audience without the accompaniment of other musicians. With a cross between folk, rock-n-roll, and blues, it is no surprise when his collaboration with Paper Bird’s Esme Patterson, went viral. “Dearly Departed” off of his 2014 album And The War Came, has been a favorite and frequently played at Lighting 100. Being nominated in three categories at the 14th annual American Honors & Awards, Shakey Graves was up for nomination of Emerging Artist of the Year. Listen to AnaLee’s interview with Shakey Graves broadcast live from the Pilgrimage Music and Arts Festival in Franklin this past weekend.
