Lightning 100 is excited to announce Late Night Television as our Frothy Monkey Local Artist of the Week with their song “No One Knows I’m a Rockstar”!
Late Night Television is a Nashville indie rock band that fuses retro rock and modern pop. The band was formed in 2023 by friends Aidan Madden and Matt Martirano. However, the band found its full lineup after linking with Isaac Mauldin and David Shivers at Belmont University. With their gritty, melodic sound and DIY spirit, they’re quickly carving out a space in the city’s rock scene. Their latest single, “No One Knows I’m a Rockstar,” captures that energy with catchy choruses, memorable hooks, and a dose of self-awareness.
Late Night Television has earned a reputation for electric live shows, but their work begins in the studio. The band has built a strong creative partnership with producer David Shivers, elevating their unique sound. Their debut EP, Down and Out, introduced a punchy, heartfelt style that landed airplay on Lightning 100 and as a round two finalist for Lightning 100’s Music City Mayhem. They continue fine-tuning their sound with intentional dynamics, form, and instrumentation choices. In a city overflowing with talent, Late Night Television proves they’re more than just another band in the crowd.
“No One Knows I’m a Rockstar” explores the disconnect between ambition and recognition. It’s an ode to chasing fame in a city full of dreamers who feel like stars, even if no one’s watching. Fun, a little cheeky, and deeply relatable, the song resonates with anyone grinding behind the scenes.
