Lightning 100 is pleased to announce Afton Wolfe and his song “Rules of War”, for our Local Artist of the Week!
Blues Americana artist Afton Wolfe and his song “Rules of War” is Casey’s pick for Local Artist of the week. “Rules of War” is a single from Wolfe’s most recent project, released in 2025 titled OPHIUCHUS. This album was named after the 13th zodiac sign “The Snake Bearer.” In this single, Wolfe lists out five “rules of war” from the perspective of warmongers and war profiteers. Wolfe points to the injustice and evil in this perspective. Wolfe uses his lyrics to explore layered topics. He says, “If there’s no blood on your hands the sin is not yours” aswell as “Don’t tell the people what’s been sold, Don’t tell them what they bought.” The music video for “Rules of War” features two figures dancing along as the tango saunters forward.
