Jayson’s DJ pick of the week is “One Thing Right” by Bedouine. Bedouine is the project of Azniv Korkejianis, a Syrian-American, folk-pop musician, based out of Los Angeles. Her track “One Thing Right”, off her album “Neon Summer Skin”, sings to the comfort of knowing your partner is the one for you even when everything else in your life feels wrong. Bedouine describes her songwriting on this album to be shaped by Todd Rundgren, Karen Carpenter, and Carole King, taking heavy influence from singer songwriters of the 70’s. Through this track Bedouine dances through percussion and flute melodies wrapping listeners up into an airy, summer synchronicity letting her influences shine through.

Dan’s DJ Pick of the week is “Backwards Again” by Alicia Blue. Blue is a Nashville based Americana artist, currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming album “Country Desire.” On her track, “Backwards Again”, Blue sings about the pros and cons of letting her heart lead her decision making, rather than her head. “I’ve got it backwards again, and I’ve got it hard” Blue sings. Stephanie’s DJ pick of the week is “I’m a Stranger” by Sam Burton. Burton is a Utah born, L.A. based musician, who is starting to gain traction for his melodic singing and “vintage” sound. His most recent release “I’m a Stranger” feels like a breath of fresh air, offering listeners a modern take on artists like Bob Dylan and John Denver. Burton’s track sings to the pain that comes with leaving home for too long, and realizing once you return, that you’ve changed.

Casey’s DJ pick of the week is “Pool Boy” by Will Lynde. Originally from Houston, Texas, Lynde has moved to Nashville with one mission in mind: to create. As a musician, Lynde has established a broad name for himself not only through his solo work, but his collaboration with other local artists. In his most recent release “Pool Boy”, Lynde asks his partner why she “left [him] for the pool boy?” recounting all the ways their relationship went wrong.
