Local artist of the week Mike Maimone is a singer, songwriter and session musician who recently transplanted from Chicago. He averages more than 100 tour dates each year with his band Mutts, as a solo artist and as the keyboardist for Company of Thieves, Los Colognes and more.
“My songs are born from a life of contradictions,” Maimone says of his music which draws inspiration from the swamps of New Orleans. His debut solo record is expected later this year.
