Natural Forces is a rock duo made up of two musicians who grew up on opposite sides of The United States. Catchy hooks, thoughtful lyrics, and hard-hitting grooves are the elements that make up the band’s sound. Natural Forces are constantly in the studio and they are starting to share their raw and organic music with live audiences.
Natural Forces is an American retro/roots alternative rock duo from Nashville, TN. They blend blues and groove with songwriting to create unique recordings and exciting live shows. Since moving to Nashville in late 2011 Josh Washam (Vocals/Guitar) and Andrew Kahl (Drums/Vocals) have been a part of the underground rock scene. Josh comes from outside of the Philadelphia area while Andrew grew up in Northern California. The two met in Boston in 2008 and played gigs on the east coast before heading south to Music City.
Their first EP, One-Track Mind was recorded in 2010 in Boston, MA. After playing shows in town and writing more songs, the guys went to record From The Ground with Dave Minihan at Wooly Mammoth Studios in Waltham, MA.
A few months after recording From The Ground, Andrew and Josh relocated to Nashville, TN, where they started to set up a home base and recording studio. After playing the majority of rock venues in the Nashville area and spending time working on material they went to record their next album.
Seven Cycles was recorded in 2013 with Brian Carter at Paradox Productions in Nashville, TN.
Natural Forces released their first full length LP, Animal on April 22, 2014.
