This week’s Frothy Monkey Local Artist of the Week is The Sewing Club, with their newest single, “Coors Light.”

The Sewing Club is an indie rock band that began here in Nashville. Their sound is reminiscent of 90’s rock with undertones of grunge. Touring with artists such as Arlie, Fleece, and fanclubwallet, The Sewing Club should be high up on your release radar. They’re currently working on recording the rest of their EP here in Tennessee at Polychrome Ranch.

“Coors Light” is the perfect indie rock headbanger. The electric guitar melody that repeats throughout the song is sure to get stuck in your head. Make sure you don’t miss some of the more hidden gems in the song, like the funky bass riff after the first chorus, and the drum sequence leading into the end of the song. All of this mixed with lead singer Hannah McElroy’s beautiful upper register throughout the chorus makes for a solid car jam.
