Accompanied by mellow percussion and bass Andrew Duhon and his guitar filled 3rd and Lindsley with compelling stories backed by warm guitar tones for March 31st’s Nashville Sunday Night. Duhon showcased his striking lyricism with memorable lines like “Its gonna take a little rain before the flowers start to show“ and “they wore that Bible Belt just a little too tight”- while Duhon wore his heart on his sleeve and wasn’t afraid to keep them rolled up. The bluesy singer played songs from all three of his albums including the Grammy-nominated 2013 release The Moorings, which was followed by his 2018 release False River; An album Duhon says focuses on the complexities of love. Andrew Duhon unearthed his New Orleans roots as he closed with his song “Street Fair”, written about the feeling he got at public gatherings after Hurricane Katrina.
