Keith here with my DJ pick of thew week from folk singer-songwriter Amos Lee.
Born in Philadelphia, Lee’s sound blends rock, soul, blues and folk. My New Moon is the most personal album yet for Lee, with music contributions from Belmont Trench and Blake Mills among others, and song inspiration from encounters with life and death. Lee wants to give people something they can connect to, and give back to the fans who have shared their life stories with him.
“Little Light” was inspired by the perseverance of an eight-year-old girl who Lee met through the Melodic Caring Project, a group that steams concerts to kids who are quarantined because of illness. Listen to the song below and let us know what you think!
Don’t miss Amos Lee at Ryman Auditorium March 8-9! Buy tickets here.
