Amy Darling – Flip The Bird

Lani here going with new Nashville rock ‘n’ roller, Amy Darling, and her song “Flip The Bird” as my DJ pick of the week.

This is the second single off Darling’s brand new EP Rock ‘n’ Roll Woman, a title aptly used for the four-song debut recorded live to tape at East Nashville’s Electric Kite Studios. “Flip The Bird” encompasses the class rock swagger of legends like Zeppelin and The Stones while utilizing mandolin and piano to experiment with country-folk sounds that reminds one of Rod Stewart. The song explores the idea of passing time and serving up a big middle finger to growing old.

Check it out below, and don’t miss Amy Darling’s release show Sept. 5 at American Legion Post 82.
