Ana Lee here with a new song from Belle and Sebastian for my Lightning 100 DJ pick today! The Scottish band Belle and Sebastian are amidst an EP trilogy titled How To Solve Our Human Problems. Their new single “The Same Star” will be featured on the second five-track EP in the series, due out on Jan. 19 via Matador Records.
Written by Sarah Martin and produced by Leo Abrahams, the upbeat single encompasses Martin’s timeless voice, jangling guitars and momentary horn accents to create a feel-good track to help you through your wintry blues. I really dig it and hope you do too! Let us know what you think!
