Teddy Boldt fronts the Nashville-based indie rock band Teddy At Night. Boldt spent the past 10 years drumming for over 20 other bands while building his solo project.
Boldt’s new album Good In The End will release on May 17, and Teddy At Night’s first-ever tour will kick off on April 11. Good In The End explores Boldt’s spiritual and social experiences from the past 10 years.
“I Want To Be Your Sound” gives an electric glimpse into the album’s direction.
With succinct beats, a groovy bassline and 80s synth-pop elements, “I Want To Be Your Sound” is ear-catching from the beginning. Boldt’s energetic vocals draw listeners in and complement the track’s electronic feel.
“I Want To Be Your Sound” expresses the desire to be everything to another person. Backed by ethereal harmonies, Boldt sings “Tell me that you’re spellbound / If I can’t be your sound, put me in the ground.”
The track builds into an explosion of rhythmic guitar parts, angular synths and tasteful background vocals. The choruses are melodically infectious, maintaining a palpable energy until the very end.
