Clarence Greenwood is the man behind Citizen Cope. For over two decades he has been writing and releasing music. Moreover, he has also created his own record company, Rainwater Recording. His discography is incredible and has slowly developed throughout the years. This time around, he feels like he has nothing to prove, he wants to continues to make his own sound and explore his own truth.
The title-track off his new EP has a rootsy core. At first lead by clear and precise acoustic guitar, it takes a turn with punchy beats and reverb. The song is steady, refined, and flows easily. “The Victory March”, as well as the other songs on the EP, has a positive outlook. It has a clear vision about hopeand finding strength within struggle.
