Tommy Womack’s new single “Pay It Forward” is Casey’s DJ pick of the week! “Pay It Forward” is included on Womack’s new album, I Thought I Was Fine. I Thought I Was Fine is Womack’s first album in five years and came out on Friday, October 15th. The album consists of 13 new songs from the multi-talented Womack. Womack’s impressive credentials include being an author, songwriter, instrumentalist, and a former member of the musical group Government Cheese.
“Pay It Forward” was released October 1st and was Womack’s second single off the album. The albums first single, “That Lucky Old Sun,” was released earlier this year. “Pay It Forward” features a rock-centric production, with prominent guitars, steady drums, and synthesizers. Womack’s vocal rises above the arrangement and provides a laid-back delivery of the song’s clever lyrics.
Womack has been running a campaign on Indiegogo to support his new album. Presently, there are 5 days left in the campaign and Womack has reached 87% of his $15,000 funding goal. Learn more and contribute to Womack’s fund here, and be sure to check out “Pay It Forward” on YouTube below:
