Lightning 100 is excited to announce EG Vines and his song, “Kaleidoscope Dream,” as our Local Artist of the Week!
EG Vines is an Americana, roots rock, and alternative rock artist who originally comes from northeast Arkansas. EG Vines, also known as Eric Vines, moved to Nashville after University studies in 2009 and dedicated his career to becoming an artist. His sound involves honest songwriting and emotional storytelling, as he uses personal experiences to write songs.
Since moving to Nashville, Vines has worked hard to become recognized within Nashville’s music community. Before starting his solo career, he received a lot of recognition through his work with The Bandoliers. Through years of performing, songwriting, and recording, EG Vines has become a well-known artist in Nashville’s roots rock community. His blend of Americana, roots rock, and alternative rock has helped him build a loyal audience.
Released on April 17, 2026, his latest single, “Kaleidoscope Dream,” is also the title track of his upcoming album. The song talks about one-sided love and the pain of giving everything to someone who does not return those feelings. With his powerful lyrics and strong vocals, Eric Vines captures the pain and frustration that can come from putting so much effort into a relationship that eventually fails.
“Kaleidoscope Dream” gives listeners a preview of what they can expect from his upcoming album. Fans can tune into Lighting100 all week long and listen to “Kaleidoscope Dream” and more from EG Vines as he prepares for the release of the full album. Fans can also catch EG Vines live on June 14th at 3rd and Lindsley for his album release show, where he will perform with Kashena Sampson. Get your tickets here!
