Marco With Love describes their sound as “Cosmic American country fried boogie-woogie Rock ‘n’ Roll.” It certainly is a mouthful, but I could not think of a better way to encapsulate this spunky band. Pulling inspiration from the likes of Tom Petty, The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Byrds and others, the band seamlessly fuses a variety of musical influences. Their newest single “Completely” released January 28th and has quickly become a fan favorite.
This new track is saturated, vibrant and filled with a groovy melody that hits you like a breath of fresh air. “She never takes the elevator / It’s much too slow / And see you later / Cause who’s got time to waste” Toying with the idea of wasted time, the track switches the tempo from mellow during the verses to a sped up, almost frantic tempo for the chorus. Overall, “Completely” is a perfect blend of feel-good, funky energy, and can easily be described as a twangy, rock single that holds true to the playful nature of Marco With Love’s previous releases.
