Bear Rinehart is no longer “Hiding Anymore” behind his band, so to speak. As he continues on his musical journey with NEEDTOBREATHE, Rinehart is steadily adding to his solo repertoire. His most recent EP release, “Hiding Anymore” grabbed the attention of fans that he has collected from past work and collaborations, most recently with The War and Treaty. Rinehart curates excitement with each new release, creating an ever-growing wave of anticipation.
In his most recent work of art, Rinehart iterates the feeling of navigating the various qualms and triumphs we all face throughout life. Rinehart lyricizes the confusing nature of decisions while trying to accurately plan out the future. None of which is an easy task. Yet, backed by a rhythmic drum beat and bass guitar grooves “Hiding Anymore” will be the exact opposite of what you want to do after taking in this audio experience. Rinehart emphasizes the chorus “I really need you not to hide anymore”. He reinstates how he needs to alter his way of life to change its trajectory, and more specifically how that seems to be a collective feeling. The unique writing pulls the listener in. When singing lyrics such as “life is an ocean unknown and we’re all decedents” it’s really challenging to not lend an ear.
