Rev’s DJ Pick of the week is “Just To Keep You Satisfied” by Inhaler! This is a hit from their newest album Cuts and Bruises released in February 2023.
Inhaler is an Indie/Alternative rock band from Dublin Ireland. It was founded by vocalist and guitarist Elijah Hewson, son of U2’s singer Bono. Joining Hewson in the band is Robert Keating on bass, Josh Jenkinson on guitar, and Ryan McMahon on drums. Inhaler are the recipients of numerous awards and consistently sells out tours across the U.S., including Nashville venues like Brooklyn Bowl Nashville.
The song is about a person who goes through great lengths to keep their lover satisfied. The lyrics, “Angels by your side just to keep you satisfied,” shows the effort they are putting into to their relationship in tact. This song combines all the great tenants of modern indie pop. It starts soft but later progresses into a groovy anthem-like song that begs to have you sing along. When listening, it’s easy to hear the influence vocalist and guitarist Elijah Hewson got from his father Bono.
