The UK-based indie rock band Sports Team has been consistently putting out music since 2017, growing more into their sound and style with each new release. They aim to capture the complexity and chaos of modern Britain within their music. Their Sophomore Album, Gulp! Released September of 2022 is their most recent project, with “The Game” as the opening track!
“The Game” is a nod to the highs and lows of adulthood. Sports Team has given us a perfect outlet for expressing the struggle of life, and it’s headbanging to this song. “Ah yeah, That’s the game. Life’s hard, but I can’t complain. Ah yeah, that’s the game.” The lyrics are straight to the point, and the instrumentation is anything but. The heavy drums and bright electric guitar are sure to get you moving. To summarize: this is a track meant for listening at the highest volume possible.
